New MRO Capability: EDP Pump Support for Dash 8 – Q400 Aircraft
Team JAS is proud to introduce the latest addition to our maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, the Part #66173-Series – Engine-Driven Pump (EDP), a critical component of the hydraulic system on the De Havilland Canada DHC-8 or Dash 8 – Q400 aircraft. We can now support this component with our new Skydrol Test Stand.
What Is the EDP Pump?
The EDP pump plays a vital role in maintaining consistent hydraulic pressure throughout the aircraft. It powers essential systems such as:
- Flight control surfaces
- Landing gear
- Braking systems
Without reliable hydraulic pressure, these systems cannot function safely or efficiently. That’s why the EDP pump is considered a core element of the aircraft’s operational integrity.
Why This Matters
Our new capability to service and support the 66173-Series EDP pump means operators of the Dash 8 – Q400 can now rely on us for:
- Expert diagnostics and repair
- OEM-compliant testing procedures
- Quick turnaround times
- Enhanced reliability and performance assurance
This expansion reflects our commitment to supporting regional aircraft fleets with precision and care.
